Privacy Policy

GhostToAI ("we", "us") operates ghosttoai.com — a tool that checks whether AI assistants mention a brand, and sells a related PDF guide. This policy explains what data we handle and how. Short version: we collect as little as possible, we never sell personal data, and we never see your card details.

1. What we collect

• Brand checks. The brand name, category, and market you enter. These are sent to our AI provider (Google Gemini API) to run the check, and the resulting report is cached on our infrastructure (Cloudflare) so repeat checks are faster. Don't enter personal or confidential information in these fields.
• Email address — only if you choose to submit it (e.g. to get updates). Stored on Cloudflare infrastructure until you ask us to delete it.
• Usage analytics. We use PostHog (EU-hosted) to understand how the site is used: pages viewed, buttons clicked, approximate location from IP, device and browser type. PostHog sets cookies for this. We do not use advertising trackers.
• Purchases. Payments are processed by Stripe. Stripe handles your card details and billing information under its own privacy policy; we never receive or store card numbers. We receive only order status and a receipt reference so we can deliver your file.
• Emails you send us. If you email hello@ghosttoai.com, we keep the correspondence for as long as needed to help you.

2. What we use it for

• Running the brand check you asked for and showing you the report.
• Delivering products you bought and providing support.
• Improving the product (aggregated, non-identifying analytics).
• Sending you emails you signed up for. Every marketing email includes an unsubscribe link.

We do not sell or rent personal information, and we do not share it with third parties for their own advertising.

3. Who processes data on our behalf

• Cloudflare — hosting, storage, and content delivery.
• Google (Gemini API) — processes the brand/category/market text to run checks.
• PostHog (EU) — product analytics.
• Stripe — payment processing and merchant-of-record services, including sales tax.

4. Cookies

We use a small number of cookies for analytics (PostHog) and, during checkout, cookies set by Stripe to process your payment securely. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site works without analytics cookies.

5. Data retention

Cached check reports expire automatically. Emails are kept until you unsubscribe or ask us to delete them. Purchase records are kept as long as required for tax and accounting purposes.

6. Your rights

Depending on where you live (including under the California Consumer Privacy Act and the EU/UK GDPR), you may have the right to access, correct, delete, or receive a copy of your personal information, and to object to or restrict certain processing. To exercise any of these rights, email hello@ghosttoai.com — we'll respond within 30 days. We do not discriminate against you for exercising your rights.

7. Children

GhostToAI is a business tool and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. Security

All traffic is encrypted (HTTPS). Access to stored data is limited to what's needed to operate the service. No method of transmission or storage is 100% secure, but we keep the surface area deliberately small.

9. Changes

If we change this policy, we'll update this page and the effective date above. Material changes will be highlighted on the site.
